Women and technology

     Through history, there has been a complicated relationship between women and technology. Despite tremendous advancements, gender bias and discrimination still exist, and women still have a low representation in the technological sector. Women are fighting to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry while simultaneously making substantial contributions to the field of technology.

STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) degrees, which are essential for professions in technology, are less likely to be pursued by women. Being named one of Fortune's World's Greatest Leaders, Saujani has established herself as a major voice for women in technology.

Dr. Fei-Fei Li, a computer science professor at Stanford University and a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence, is another illustration of a woman who has significantly impacted the technology sector. Dr. Li has pushed for the ethical application of AI technology and has campaigned to advance diversity and inclusion in the AI field.


    For the technology sector to innovate and experience economic progress, it is imperative to support gender diversity and inclusion. Women are better equipped to contribute their skills and perspectives when given equal opportunity in the technology sector, and the sector is more likely to generate products that benefit a wide range of people.
