Women's health and reproductive rights
Gender equality and human rights depend on women's health and reproductive freedom. In order for women to have healthy, satisfying lives, pursue education and careers, and actively participate in society, they must have access to comprehensive healthcare, including reproductive healthcare. Women's access to safe and legal abortion, contraception, and other reproductive healthcare services are all included in the category of reproductive rights. However there are still obstacles in the way of these services for women all over the world, such as legislative limitations, stigma, and a lack of resources and access to healthcare professionals. Unsafe abortion is a serious public health hazard, especially in nations where it is forbidden or severely limited.
