  Women have played sports for ages, but their participation and accomplishments haven't always been acknowledged and applauded. Sports participation was historically discouraged for women since it was viewed as a masculine activity. But in recent years, women's participation in sports has increased, and their accomplishments are more widely praised.      There are several obstacles for female athletes to overcome, such as stereotypes, gender bias, and a lack of finance. For instance, it is more challenging for female athletes to receive the credit they merit because women's sports teams frequently receive less money and media attention than men's teams. Furthermore, there are still many people who believe that women are not as competitive or physically strong as men, which can foster a hostile environment.
